Kacy Jones didn’t come to tattooing through a straight line. She came through devotion, resistance, and love.

For years, Jones was immersed in tattoo spaces simply because she loved the art. What began as sweeping floors and learning by watching slowly deepened into something more intentional, as artists quietly began teaching her how to paint, build needles, and understand tattooing as both discipline and ritual. When a gatekeeper once told her they could never tattoo, that refusal only sharpened her resolve, and the rest is history.

Jones’ earliest mentor taught her far more than technique. He taught discipline through painting eagles, emotional fluency through roses, and the importance of care and intention in tattooing. When he passed away, that lineage did not end, it settled into Kacy’s bones, becoming something like muscle memory.

Later, master tattooer Alicia Cardenas became the person who truly called Jones forward—not as potential, but as already worthy. She taught professionalism, health‑code mastery, client care, and, most importantly, that tattooing is something you do with people, not to them. Under her guidance, Jones learned how to hold space, how to lead a room, and how to collaborate one‑on‑one with integrity.

Being chosen, believed in, and supported changed everything. When Alicia was taken from us far too early, her teachings did not leave, they became something deeper, a trust in uncertainty, paired with a steady, caring presence for the human being on the other side of the work.

Jones tattoos because of the connection it creates. To her, each session is a collaboration, a bond formed between artist and client. Whether a tattoo honors something or someone no longer in the flesh or exists simply for joy, each piece is a deep human exchange that carries meaning far beyond the ink. Jones holds profound care for this work and for the people who trust her with their stories.

Her tattooing is rooted in Azteca/Mexica iconography expressed through an American traditional foundation—bold lines, intentional color, and imagery built to last. Many of the symbols Jones works with come from sacred reference cards passed down to her, making each piece not just art, but stewardship.

Tattooing, for Kacy, is ceremony, even when it isn’t named that way. Each session offers autonomy, reflection, grounding, and care. First tattoos, grief tattoos, transformation tattoos, all are approached with patience, presence, and respect.

Since entering the industry in 2017 and tattooing professionally since 2021, Kacy Jones has built a practice devoted to community, resilience, and reverence. Her greatest joy is witnessing the moment fear dissolves into pride and the realization of strength and resilience come to life in the chair.

Kacy tattoos to honor her mentors, her lineage, and the people who trust her. Above all, she is committed to doing good work for her clients, her community, and where she came from.
